OUR PARTY PLANNER ... DEE .. THANKS for all your hard work!
WOW fun party last night. Glad you could all come out and enjoy! Thanks to Andy, Rocky & Dee & Me for setting up the hall and thanks to those who helped clean up!! Of course Santa & his elf did a fantastic job again this year and really added to the festivities. On a personal note Santa... where was the bone??
As I leave you as your president I wanted to just share a few things in regards to 2010.
My goals were accomplished this year due to the membership and their dedication to getting all the tasks done and I want to tell you all how much I appreciate you helping make a fantastic year for TCV.
It started with many of us putting extra effort into selling the T-Shirt sponsors .. that gave us a great start. Thanks to you and your sponsors. Once again Brodheadsville Chevrolet came thru for us.......THANKS goes out to Chris and his team. Money helps to run the club smoothly & of course helps us grow but that is not our main focus. For me one of my main goals was to have a website that was user friendly and several people who could add what needed to be added & I want to thank John & Julia for their time in being the webmasters. Julia will continue in her position in 2011 has agreed to let me continue to help. :>) Thanks Julia--- you Rock!!!
Another goal was to encourage more people to get out & partake in the NCCC events & I think we faired ok ending at #5 in the region. Thanks John for leading us once again in NCCC points. But we also had some new names on the list of points earners & I hope you will all continue in 2011 to attend as many NCCC events as you can… it is the reason the founders created the club.. healthy competition amongst Corvette Enthusiasts.
The chair people & all those who worked TCV events is what made them all successful, along with Mother Nature. Excellent team work!! We didn’t have too many trophies & we didn’t fall short.. this is a good thing!!
I thank my fellow officers for their dedication as well. Not only does it take time behind the scenes organizing for events it takes personal time from your officers to get their tasks done as well.
We purchased our super duper sound system!!! Have working fire extinguishers. AND had plenty of money for our donation to United Way & Toys for Tots. Ending the year with a budget for the trophies & other expenses going into 2011. With this said I thank you once again for letting me be your president & giving me the support I needed to have such a successful year. Holding this office helped me reach a personal goal… I not only was a founding member but have held all the offices plus newsletter editor… some more than once……Governor I leave to Brian!!!
While I didn’t seem to have to use the gavel in 2010 .. I am happy & proud to hand it to your new president… Andy Alleshouse (in case he needs it) & ask that you give him the support & respect you have given me.
